Located in Henderson County, North Carolina, Hendersonville is approximately 20 miles south of downtown Asheville. Founded in 1838, Hendersonville is known as “The City of Four Seasons”. Main Street and the adjoining downtown areas are rich with many restaurants, boutiques and shops that are located in same buildings that housed the key businesses of the mid-1980s. Hendersonville has undertaken on-going downtown revitalization since the early 1990s and is now a vibrant business center. The historic neighborhoods of Hendersonville exist mostly outside the downtown corridor. These include the 5th Avenue neighborhood on the city’s west side and Druid Hills which is north of downtown.
